William Cornell

Karate Classes Instructor in La Crosse, Wi - William Cornell

William Cornell is the Chief Instructor and program director at Nicklaus’ Martial Arts America.

Mr. Cornell started his martial arts lessons just before his 10th birthday at the suggestion of his mom. His father had just passed and his mom thought that martial arts could help him direct his energy, gain confidence, and give him a positive outlet.

As time passed he proved to be a dedicated martial artist. He took part in more than his share of regular martial arts classes but really developed his skills to another level by always taking part in extra workouts, seminars, and any occasion to work with more advanced students and his martial arts instructors.

Mr. Cornell began teaching at Nicklaus’ Martial Arts America at 14 years of age. His teaching skills improved the more he was in the classroom and his love for the martial arts was evident as he worked with his students. His passion was to not only continue to improve his own skills but to share his knowledge of the martial arts with his students so that they too could also achieve their most sought after goals.

During this time Mr. Cornell also dedicated his time and training to becoming a top rated Black Belt competitor. You can see his many tournament Grand Championships below. During his tournament competition time he eventually became the #1 rated competitor in the entire U.S in the North American Sport Karate Association rankings (NASKA)

Students and families at Nicklaus’ Martial Arts America find Mr. Cornell to be extremely dedicated to helping them reach their goals through his detailed instruction in the classroom and also in the extra help that he gives his students outside of the classroom.

He is a skilled, dedicated martial artist who knows how to get the best out of his students by helping them feel comfortable and relaxed but also challenging them in their martial arts environment.

Your family will enjoy the time that you spend with him.

When he’s not in the Karate school Mr. Cornell is spending time with his fiancee Emily and her son Andrew. In September of 2014 Mr. Cornell and Emily will be married. They met through Karate. Andrew is also a Black Belt at Nicklaus’ Martial Arts America.

Mr. Cornell’s hobbies include watching the Packers during the football season, hiking, taking weekend trips to visit friends, exploring the surrounding Coulee region, going to movies, and spending time with his two cats and his boxer puppy.
