Martial Arts America has been nothing but positive energy for our son and it goes beyond learning to defend himself physically. It also interacts with our son’s mental development in school and at home. We can see that all the instructors only want the best for our child and we know he’s receiving the best at Martial Arts America.

Since Jake has started martial arts I have seen some changes in him, good changes. He is more helpful around the house and he has really focused on staying fit and staying healthy. He was a shy child but this program has helped him come out of his shell. He has recently joined the leadership class and is motivated to become a black belt. It’s great to see your child set a goal and work hard to achieve it. This program has been great and we both look forward to the years to come.

It is amazing to see how much Jacob has grown already moving into his purple belt. The progress he’s made and the challenges he faces as he works towards his black belt has been a great feeling for us. The enthusiasm that Jake has when he comes home and learns something new that day, you know this is something Jake truly enjoys. This makes us very happy. They are all wonderful instructors. We hope that this is something Jake will continue to strive for and accomplish bigger things as he grows into a young man.

My son has been learning martial arts for only a few months and I notice that he is showing some improvement in his focus and respect for others which he lacked before starting the martial arts studio. I also felt glad on my on being offered to try the leadership classes, which I very much appreciate and it shows how concerned the instructors are at improving the skills of every individual. My son tried this class and I too liked it and am certain that I will join my kid in the advanced training program in the future.

I am very impressed with the discipline and the positive reinforcement the instructors do with the kids. The kids aren’t only getting great exercise, but also learning important life lessons. I think the program is great for children who are developing their brains to become young adults. Everyone has been super caring and nice. I see a lot of smiles during the hard work they are all doing. I enjoy watching the classes when I can. I am starting to see changes in my children after the few weeks they have been going to karate. They are beginning to help out more around the house and are getting stronger physically. It is an awesome place, not to far from our house! I hope to see positive results in the kids.

Here are the martial arts performance videos from Karate Summer Boot Camp I. These are karate skits or combinations that the kids created in karate class at Boot Camp. The main goal of the martial arts skits and combos was to have them work as team developing better respect and teamwork. There were some disagreements but compromising was the resulting lesson for the kids which is an important Martial Arts lesson to learn. Check them out.

Pictures from the last day of Martial Arts Summer Boot Camp. The kids had a blast taking a different kind of karate class where we still worked on martial arts technique, but also, focused on having fun in Martial Arts class. Some of the main life skill lessons we focused on were:

  • Working as a Team
  • Compromising
  • Persistence – Not shutting down or giving up when things get hard or uncomfortable
  • Respect and Listening (even if we’re having fun)

Great concepts for kids and teens to hear and also a constant message that shows up in every Martial Arts event we do whether it’s bowling, summer karate camp, canoeing, etc.

Look at some of the videos of the karate performances that karate kids came up with by themselves. One is a more structured martial arts performance, and the other is a fun karate skit.
